Frequently Asked Questions

How will applications to the AWS Healthcare Accelerator be judged?

AWS will judge applications on several factors, including the innovation, the overall value the solution will bring to the industry, the creative application of AWS to solve problems, and the team’s ability to deliver on an identified opportunity.

How many participants will be selected for the cohort?

We will select 10 startups to participate in this four week accelerator. Selected startups may receive AWS Promotional Credit, as well as technical, business, and go-to-market mentorship from AWS healthcare experts. The program will also offer collaboration opportunities with AWS healthcare customers and members of AWS Partner Network (APN) looking for healthcare solutions.

What is the application process?

You can submit applications online from June 21 through July 23. AWS and KidsX will review all applications and notify the 10 winners by August 18th.

What does the accelerator do for me?

Selected startups will receive up to $25,000 USD of AWS Promotional Credit, as well as technical, business, and go-to-market mentorship from AWS healthcare experts. The program will also offer collaboration opportunities with AWS healthcare customers and members of Amazon Partner Network (APN) looking for healthcare solutions.

After the accelerator concludes, AWS and KidsX will curate a virtual demo day to showcase the participating companies and solutions developed to key stakeholders in the healthcare industry to help catalyze their deployment and mission on to achieve the Quadruple Aim.

What is the criteria for reviewing applicants?

We will judge applications on several factors, including innovation, the overall value the solution will bring to the healthcare industry, the potential application of AWS to solve problems, and the team’s ability to deliver on an identified opportunity.
