Medical Director of Telemedicine Network - Oregon Health & Science University - Doernbecher Children's Hospital
Dr. Miles Ellenby is a Professor of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Doernbecher Children's Hospital – Oregon Health & Science University and the Medical Director of OHSU’s Office of Digital Health. He has been on faculty at OHSU since 2000.
Dr. Ellenby holds Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 1991. He trained in Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and in Pediatric Critical Care at UC San Francisco - Children’s Hospital of Oakland.
His engineering background has informed his work in cardiovascular monitoring, signal processing, complex systems analysis, and telemedicine. He is an advocate for the use of Telehealth to expand access to care, improve outcomes, and lower healthcare costs. For 10 years, he has served on the governor appointed Oregon Broadband Advisory Council as a content expert in health care. He additionally serves as the Medical Director for OHSU Global’s SE Asia Children’s Projects focused in Thailand.
