We’re calling on early-stage pediatric health tech startups to showcase their cutting-edge solutions to an audience of children’s hospital leaders. We’re looking for engaging pitches that highlight truly novel innovations that can meaningfully move the needle in pediatric care.
What is the KidsX 2025 Pediatric Innovation Pitch Competition?
The KidsX 2025 Pediatric Innovation Pitch Competition is an opportunity for early-stage pediatric health innovation companies to virtually pitch their solutions to 30+ children’s hospitals during the in-person KidsX Pediatric Innovation Summit, which brings together both KidsX member hospitals and other children’s hospitals from across the country. This is a chance to gain visibility, potential pilot opportunities, and startup brand awareness. The competition will take place on November 18, 2025, with selected companies presenting virtually to an audience of children’s hospital leaders.
Contact information provided by finalists will be shared with hospitals so they can independently follow up with companies of interest after the Pitch Competition. Finalists also agree to offer a free 60-day pilot to any children’s hospitals from the KidsX audience that engage within three months of the competition (by Feb 18, 2026).

Who Should Apply?
Early-stage pediatric health tech startups (seed stage) with a viable solution ready to pilot or test within a pediatric hospital or health system environment. The competition is open to startups focused on digital health solutions, Medtech, as well as clinical and research solutions focused on a pediatric health system environment or patient population.

What is the application process?
Applications are open from September 15, 2025 – October 1, 2025. After the initial review, selected companies will be invited to a virtual interview with the KidsX team and a panel of children’s hospital clinical and innovation leaders. Applicants who advance will receive next steps and timelines directly from the KidsX team.
During the process, you may be asked to provide additional information and details. Due to the high volume of applicants, we will not be able to provide individualized feedback to all who apply.
How will applications be evaluated?
Applications will be reviewed by the KidsX team. We’re looking for cutting-edge, truly innovative solutions that address meaningful pediatric needs and have the potential to make a significant impact across children’s hospitals.
Because this is a pitch competition, the presentation itself matters. We’re seeking engaging, persuasive pitches delivered by founders who are passionate, enthusiastic, and able to clearly communicate the value of their solution. KidsX also values strong, collaborative founders who are open to feedback and eager to partner with hospitals to advance pediatric innovation.
How many companies will be selected?
Up to five companies will be selected as finalists to present their solutions during the KidsX Pitch Competition.
How long is each pitch presentation?
Each pitch will run for 5 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A and live feedback from the judges.
Will there be Q&A during the pitch?
Yes! After each pitch, you’ll have the chance to hear directly from innovation leaders as they ask questions, share feedback, and offer strategic advice in real time.
Are there prizes or recognition for winners?
Finalist teams will be featured via the KidsX website and KidsX social media assets. Finalists will also be offered an opportunity to be featured on the KidsX podcast.
When and where will the Pitch Competition take place?
The Pitch Competition will take place during the 2025 KidsX Pediatric Innovation Summit on November 18, 2025. Pitch Competition finalists will present their solutions virtually.
Who will be in the audience?
The Summit brings together children’s hospitals from across the country, including 25+ KidsX member hospitals and, for the first time, additional children’s hospital guests.
Do I need to travel to present, or is it fully virtual?
The Pitch Competition will be fully virtual. There will be no need for participants to travel to present their solutions.
